Install FTP server on Ubuntu

vsftpd is an FTP daemon available in Ubuntu.To install do the following steps:-

sudo apt-get install vsftpd

edit /etc/vsftpd.conf

change
anonymous_enable=YES
to
anonymous_enable=No

uncomment(i.e just remove # in front of these lines)
#write_enable=YES
#anon_upload_enable=YES

and then restart vsftpd
sudo /etc/init.d/vsftpd start

and for ftp username and password we just need to create a normal ubuntu user.
